So who is this guy, and why should you want to listen to him?
I have been a self-employed, hands-on building and remodeling professional since 1980. I built up a business that thrives on reputation for quality workmanship and a high degree of personal service to my customers. I have become known for my focus on the “people end” of the business; open, honest communication, commitment, attention to detail, the intention to help one another and promote a cooperative and pleasant work environment. Customers, architects, realtors and trades people have all commented about the unusual and welcome way in which I do business.
Aside from the construction and business experience, I have years of experience and training in social services and human dynamics. I have worked in counseling, community organizing and mediation. What I have done is to combine deep interest in what promotes happy, healthy relationships of different sorts with lifelong fascination with construction and the construction process. It is a unique blending that has often drawn very enthusiastic response.
I understand firsthand the hopes, passions and frustrations of construction professionals. I work in collaboration with highly experienced professionals from other fields, and I am confident we can help. Many people over the years have reacted to what I am offering as if to cool mountain air, as if they have been starving for oxygen.
The fact is, I enjoy people, and I enjoy seeing people increase their happiness, satisfaction and success in life, and particularly in the construction industry! It is a natural fit for me.
